About us...

Birgit & David

David was born in South Korea and grew up in New York City. Since graduating from college, he has worked for international tennis management companies, which has given him the opportunity to live in numerous countries around the world. His job takes him to the most luxurious hotels in Asia, Europe, and America, where he stays for a few weeks, months, or even several years at a time.

I, Birgit, come from Austria and have always been fascinated by the wider world. After completing tourism school, I backpacked through Asia and Australia - an experience that sparked my passion for travel. Since that adventure, I have always been on the lookout for new destinations. The world is too beautiful not to be discovered. Working in tourism facilitates this passion, allowing us to live in the most beautiful countries rather than just visiting them briefly on vacation.

Our journey together since 2007, a trio since 2023

In 2007, our paths crossed at Lake Garda in Italy, where fate brought us to work at the same hotel. We got along great from the start, and five years later we got married. Since that summer together in Italy, we have also lived in the Maldives, Austria, Singapore, and Costa Rica. We both worked in (luxury) hotels there, which allowed us to experience a different side of travel—in contrast to the backpacking trips we still love. Since 2023, we have been traveling as a family of three, showing our daughter the beauty of the world.

A few years ago, we found our home in the Tyrolean Alps in Austria. Here, we enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery in all four seasons and take every opportunity to discover new, fascinating travel destinations—always on the lookout for the hidden treasures of this world. In the summer of 2025, David's job took us to Tuscany, where we are currently gathering travel tips for you.
